# Ju the Artist

Ju Tats

Custom realism tattoos crafted for depth, contrast, and lasting impact.

## About

I am Ju, a Birmingham tattoo artist focused exclusively on black and grey realism. I create custom pieces ranging from small designs to large-scale projects, including portraits to detailed sleeve work. My approach centers on strong contrast, readable composition, and thoughtful detail, with special attention to darker skin tones. I work closely with each client to shape a tattoo that feels personal, balanced, and built to stand out.

## FAQ

### How should I prepare for a tattoo appointment?

Arrive with clean, moisturized skin and wear clothing that allows comfortable access to the area being tattooed. Eating beforehand, staying hydrated, and discussing any relevant health considerations with the artist can also help support a more comfortable experience.

### How do I choose the right design and placement?

Gather any photo or reference material and your ideal placement and consult with your artist. Their knowledge and experience will help you design something unique and suitable for your body type.

### What happens during the tattooing process?

The artist typically reviews the design and placement before preparing the skin and beginning the tattoo. Clear communication throughout the session helps ensure that questions, comfort, and artistic details are addressed thoughtfully.

### How should I care for a new tattoo?

Following the artist's aftercare guidance is important because healing needs can vary by tattoo and individual skin. Keeping the area clean, avoiding unnecessary irritation, and allowing the skin to heal naturally are generally important parts of responsible care.

### If I need to reschedule, how much notice should I give my artist?

At least 48 hrs. In advance. The first reschedule is no charge, the second will require a new deposit.
